Audrey Boccara was born in France and started to love ballet at the age of 5. At 12, she began studying at the Paris Opera Ballet School. She attended the London’s Royal Ballet School summer intensive that same year and continued at the National Conservatory of Paris from 2009 to 2013, where she graduated with honours. Audrey won several Gold Medals and a National Award at international dance competitions in France.
After attending dance courses with the Ballet of the Opéra National du Rhin in France and Eifman Ballet of St Petersburg in Russia, Audrey joined the Ballet Eddy Toussaint of Montreal in December 2014.
In June 2015, she won the gold medal at the Danse Encore Festival
Competition in Quebec, dancing the variation from Carmen Suites. After attending the Ballet Jörgen Summer Intensive, Audrey danced for two years with the Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada.
She has joined Edmonton’s Citie Ballet in September 2017, and is exited to live and share her passion in Western Canada.
Apart from dancing, Audrey loves teaching and sharing her professional experience through high quality standard, dynamic and fun classes of Ballet, Pointe shoes, Repertory/Choreography and Conditioning/Stretching. She was invited several times as a guest teacher, including in Belgium for the International Dansstage Geraardsbergen. She had the honour of instructing her own classes for 2 years with the school of Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada.
